Anna had her least favorite day ever today. Now, granted, she only has 8 weeks for comparison, but Park and I can verify that it was a very bad day indeed. This is the first big vaccine visit. She received Dtap, polio, Hib, pneumococcal and rotavirus vaccines, which amounted to one oral vaccine and two injections in each thigh!!! Oh no! The tears were streaming down her face....her first real tears, by the way. Not something mommy and daddy wanted to see. It took some time but eventually we were able to soothe her. There was no cheering her up until after a nap and some milk.
She is sleeping now, and I think mommy has begun to recover from the experience.
Bless her little heart....but it was probably worse on the parents!

ReplyDeleteSullivan still brings it up with little tears in his face. Every time we pass the hospital he says "thats where mommy hurt me"
